warning

All our lenses are 4K ready.

But for the RAIN, ensure to use a RAIN ready lens as it comes with special accessories and sealing.

You could damage / destroy your RAIN if using a non RAIN lens in rainy conditions.

Lens installation

  • Unscrew the installed lens
  • Ensure:
    • the camera is powered on
    • to have a monitor plugged to the camera
    • to monitor the picture while fitting the lens
  • Screw the new lens in
tip

Don't screw the lens at 100% to tighten it.

Once you have 3 threads in, it's enough to secure the lens.

You then screw/unscrew to fix the focus.

danger

The camera has builtin IR filter.

If you screw the lens too much you can damage it.

So always do the lens mount while monitoring the image.

Lens focus

  • the lens have a fixed focal
  • screw or unscrew to do the back focus setup
note

to have better result:

  • Ensure to properly expose (even over exposing a little bit)
  • Have something with a lot of detail (like a focus sharpness sight)
  • Have a big enough screen or a screen with magnification feature

If in the end the focus is not perfect and you don't have access, you can add a little bit of detail

tip

If you're unsure about the focus direction, to avoid any damage to the IR filter.

Unscrew totally the lens and start from scratch while monitoring it.
